Hello All!
I decided to start a blog to keep all of our friends updated on life together in Texas. Life is finally starting to be "normal". It is very neat on how God gets you exactly where He wants you to be. It has become evident that God is guiding our steps.
Married life has been great! Yet pretty 'interesting." For example, one night I woke up to our house alarm going off, only to find Jacob still asleep. I shook him awake (I was clearly freaking out) and told him that the alarm was going off (He couldn't hear it). He looks at me and says, "What do I do?" Oh boy...
Yesterday morning I woke up and decided to be an awesome wife and cook cinnamon rolls. So I go to the kitchen and start laying them on the baking stone when suddenly I feel something on my foot. I look down thinking maybe I dropped a cinnamon roll and there was A REAL LIVE MOUSE on my foot. Needless to say, I did not finish cooking the cinnamon rolls. Instead, I sprinted to the bedroom...
So, yes... life is interesting in the Powell house.

P.s. We haven't caught our mouse yet...maybe we should give him a name?? Any ideas?

If I lived closer, your mother-in-law would be happy to catch your mouse. When I was in the Navy we had a mouse problem in our barracks and I got good at catching the varmits in my room. I once caught two in one mouse trap! The bad part is when you are asleep and awake to the snap of the trap and then a little squeal before the critter dies. Since your problem is in the kitchen you should sleep through the night undisturbed. That is unless your alarm goes off in the night and Jacob sleeps through it again!
