Second Grade Adventures

I love my sweet second graders! They impress me everyday. Lately, we have been working on our creative writing.  We wrote our first how to paper last week (How to Blow a Bubble). They loved it! I gave them all a piece of gum and we talked about how to blow a bubble.  Almost all of them blew at least one tiny bubble.  They were so excited! They also have been working on creating a cute art project to go along with their paper (I will post pictures soon).
This week we are learning how to address an envelope and write a friendly letter. We are going to write a letter to our favorite Disney character (I have heard that if you send a letter to a character, they will reply! I hope it works!). I am so excited! However, to keep the students on track I have not told them that we are sending out letters. So if any of my readers tell...I will find you! :)
Check out their Writer's Glasses (when they put these silly glasses on, they have to be focused and follow all of our writing rules)

Needless to say they love writing and their cursive writing is looking AMAZING! I am very proud!
I love my school and I love seeing the way it is growing! This time last year, I would have never imagined be in such a great school. Please be praying for FBA as we continue to follow God's plans and move forward!

Lately, I have been experimenting with a few new recipes! One that Jacob really likes is Pecan Encrusted Chicken (baked).  Here is the recipe:

Hope everyone is having a fantastic week!
